Galveston

One short week after getting back from Mexico, we were off to Galveston for 4 days. Bran had a work conference & so Savh & I went along for the ride (well, for the beach really). We were on camera overload from Mexico & so here are the few pics we managed to get.
Each morning while Bran was at work, Savh & I would eat breakfast on our balcony overlooking the beach.

We thought she looked so funny here..."I'm bored Dad".
Her walking had improved quite a bit from Mexico & she just danced around on the sand.
The ocean had been very calm in Mexico & so this was her first time in real waves.
And she loved it!
Watch out Dad, I'm not as tall as you!!
They had Shrimp Fest going on while we were there. I don't care for seafood (I know, so sad), but Bran did the shrimp taste test.
Enjoying our last day at the beach, we decided to bury Dad in the sand : )

Savannah's First Cowboy's Game

Savannah got to finally experience "Cowboy Tailgating" on a gorgeous Sunday. Our friends Jessica & Jeremy went with us. We cooked out breakfast & lunch before heading to the stadium for the big game.
Isn't this hysterical?? We looked over & she was just lounging like this!!
Off to the game being carried by Mr. Romo himself : )

Do you think she's watching the field or the big screen? : )
And we couldn't believe it, but she fell asleep for a good nap despite the roaring fans.

Mexico!

6 days & 5 nights in Riviera Maya, Mexico! We had a wonderful & relaxing vacation. It was an all-inclusive resort & so mostly we just played on the beach & ate...what could be better?!
First night we got dressed up & went to the Italian restaurant.

Every night after dinner we would go to the bar near our room for a nightcap. Savh loved two things about going to this bar:
straws,
and chicken wings! Seriously, our daughter could eat chicken for every meal & be happy.
Savannah LOVED the ocean (she loved licking the saltwater off her lips.)
But even more than the ocean, she loved the beach.
She loved building sandcastles with Daddy!
Sandy girl!
She would crash on the beach everyday around naptime.
They had a baby turtle releasing party where they let kids take a tiny baby turtle & let it go into the ocean. (They collect the eggs & incubate them until they hatch to keep them safe.)
Our turtle was a little "slow" & had to be redirected towards the ocean : )
Savannah got a certificate for her turtle. She named him Spike.

The beach was pretty, but there was lots of seaweed from the storm that had just gone through.

We quickly discovered the beach cabanas!

The cabanas were perfect for naptime.

Savannah won't wear her own sunglasses, but she likes to put on Daddy's.
One night we ate at the Japanese restaurant. Savh's first chopsticks!
The food was all delicious!

What a sweetie!

Playing in the sand!

Walking on the beach.

Our bartender, Jesus, loved Savh! And she loved him b/c he provided the straws : )

I think this pic should be in a swimsuit calendar : )

We saw lizards everywhere!
The last night we ate on the patio overlooking the ocean. Best patio I've eaten at all summer!
Then we walked the beach after dark.

The sound of the waves put the little one to sleep : )

We had a blast & Savannah officially loves Mexico!
