"On the go"-that is Spencer's current theme. Everywhere. He gets impatient being held because he just wants down to crawl & he's gotten so fast! He's not super interested in trying to walk because he can crawl so quickly. We have had to finish putting locks on all the cabinets in the kitchen because I was tired of tripping over the emptied contents. And we have to keep the doors around the house closed because he's obsessed with water: putting his hands in the toilet, pouring out Juliette's water bowl all over himself & on the floor, and turning the bathtub faucet on full-blast & playing in the water. Trouble. And then, of course, all the same things he was into last month. I'm not gonna lie, I'm tired. Oh, and he's as big & strong as a toddler, so I'm really tired : ) He's so funny though because he knows what he's not supposed to do & gets this smirk on his face as he does it. The three of us have started calling him our purple minion (This will only make sense if you've seen the new Despicable Me. If you haven't, you are missing out!) His favorite time of the day is bath-time with his sister. They play in there till the water gets cold & they don't even care. He is so fun to watch because he just squeals the whole time & splashes up a storm. Although I don't think he'll be walking by himself soon, he got a push-toy that he uses to walk around pushing & he loves it! He gets that big, open-mouth grin on his face while he pushes it around the living room-he gets so proud of himself! His appetite continues to be ravenous. He eats a container of babyfood in about 3 minutes at each meal along with more & more table food & has learned that throwing his food is fun. One more tooth on top has recently come in & so he's up to 5. His hair is definitely turning into the long strip down the middle that his sister had and he's already had it trimmed. He's continuing to slim down, but is getting taller & some of his 18 months clothes are too short for him. He's getting bigger & older too quickly! In just a few days we won't have a "baby" anymore. Can't believe our sweet boy is almost one! Time, please try to slow down...
