6 Months Old

Half of a year! It's going by too fast! But we are loving every second with our sweet girl. She is so happy & has the prettiest smile. She is constantly giggling, talking & making noises. Half the time I think she is sneezing when she makes raspberries. Her talking now includes consonants & she says things like "dadadada". Not sure when we get to count that as a word, "dada". She loves sitting up & will play on the floor sitting up with toys for a long time. She's also great at restaurants now sitting in a highchair, loves shopping & sitting in the cart, & loves sitting in her bumbo while I cook or out on the porch when I work in the yard. She also loves walks in her stroller now that we have warm weather. They put her to sleep & so it's often the only nap I can get out of her. Napping is not her strong suit, but no complaints b/c she's still sleeping 10 hrs at night. She loves her daddy & laughs at the silly voices he makes at her or when he tickles or kisses her belly. At her 6 month check-up she was 26 inches long (50-75%) & weighed 15 pounds & 12 ounces (25-50%). She's still mostly a milk drinker. We started cereal a few weeks ago, but it's hit or miss. Sometimes she really likes it, but other times she's less than interested. We stopped swaddling her this last month & she's doing really well sleeping in just a sleepsack. Her hair is so funny. She still has the super long bangs that our now in her eyes & the rest is growing back in now & is blonde. Her legs are so strong & she will stand against something or pull herself up while holding something. Can't wait to start dressing my little beach baby with her blonde hair & blue eyes in her skimpy summer clothes & show off those legs! Sweet Savannah, we can't get enough of you!
