Ok, one of the best decisions ever was taking our kids to Disney! They are at great ages to travel, we got a great deal for the trip, free meal plans, it was the slowest week of the year for the park & we did everything we wanted to do while there! And made so many sweet memories : ) We planned this for months & didn't tell Savannah till right before we left for the airport. Mickey called her (thanks Dad) & invited her to come see him & we told her we were going! When she got off the phone, Spencer was holding stuffed Mickey & Minnie for each of them. After Bran loaded the car, he saw that Savannah had already put M & M up by their seats : )
Both kids rocked the airport, security & flight. They were awesome! And with no electronics : )
Spencer's first plane ride!
Orlando airport
Little man was asleep by the time we got to the hotel that night.
Mickey was waiting on the bed.
Both kids went to sleep that night with their new pjs & stuffed mouses.
Day 1: Magic Kingdom
Cinderella's Castle in person was a dream come true for Savannah.
I made our family these Mickey & Minnie shirts with Team Shaw on the back.
She was so shy & quiet meeting the princesses at first.
Cinderella
Sleeping Beauty (Aurora) is Savannah's favorite!
We brought a picture frame mat for her to get signed by all the characters.
The long-haired Rapunzel
Riding the tea cups
The racecars
I love that there were so many rides that Spencer could go on with us!
Merida
This sweet boy was awesome & just napped in the stroller when he was tired.
We watched several different parades while there.
Bran trying to pull the sword from the stone.
Loved that we got free meal plans because we got to try tasty treats like this Mickey head.
Each afternoon we would go back to the hotel (which was on property) & all take naps & avoid the heat & crowds of the afternoon. Then we were ready to hit the park again for the evening!
The first night we stayed for the Electrical Parade of lights. Pretty cool.
And then for the fireworks.
Day 2: We started at Hollywood Studios.
This is the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live.
Meeting Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story
And Woody danced with Savannah : )
One of the army men from Toy Story
We watched a Beauty and the Beast show.
Road a 3D Toy Story ride.
And met Mike & Sully from Monster's Inc.
On the second night, we had tickets to go back to Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. We dressed as pirates.
There was a parade of all the storybook villains.
Trick-or-treating
Dance party with Jesse from Toy Story
It was a little too warm for the tiny pirate in his full costume in the wrap. But I can't tell you how many people commented on this cute, almost naked pirate!
Savannah was so excited to meet Captain Hook....she, for whatever reason, has a soft place in her heart for him & thinks he's sweet!
The Headless Horseman rode the streets before the night show.
The tiny pirate got to try a little pineapple juice from my Dole Whip.
Day 3: We started at Magic Kingdom again.
Ariel's grotto & Savannah wore her Ariel costume.
Kids got to act out parts in Storytime with Belle.
And meet Belle.
Then we surprised Savannah with an appointment at the Bippity Boppity Boutique in Cinderella's Castle. She got to pick a hairstyle & chose Cinderella.
I think she used a can of hairspray on it! (And this hairstyle lasted through two naps, two nights & finally came out swimming on the last day!)
She got her nails painted,
some makeup,
And then fairy dust.
I brought her Cinderella dress from home & she was a perfect little Cinderella!
Cinderella and her prince.
Then we surprised her with reservations in the castle for lunch with the princesses!
We met Snow White.
Spencer got some love from her.
Savannah's favorite, Aurora.
Jasmine
Ariel
And they brought out some tiny treats with a candle to celebrate her birthday early.
Riding on It's a Small World.
Meeting Tiana
And seriously, all the princesses were so beautiful and sweet & so perfectly in character! But I think Tiana was my favorite with her New Orleans accent. They all treat the little girls like princesses too and take their time talking with them to make them feel special. It was so sweet getting to watch Savannah with them.
How cute is this little mouse-head?!
On the 3rd evening we went to Epcot.
There was a big Finding Nemo section.
Watching the dolphins.
She made friends with another little Cinderella : )
Talking with Crush the turtle.
The Nemo ride.
We did a little photo shoot in our hotel room that night (in case her hair fell down...umm, no way).
Someone is no stranger to having her picture taken!
We started Day 4 in Animal Kingdom.
Safari ride.
The Lion King show.
Dinosaur ride.
The Tree of Life. Look closely & you can see all sorts of animals carved into it.
Meeting Goofy & Pluto.
This guy was obsessed with the poles on the shuttles. He would hold on to it the whole ride!
That night we went back to Magic Kingdom.
We all rode the Haunted Mansion...so proud of my babies!!
Buzz Lightyear ride where you shoot at stuff.
Savannah played,
Daddy played,
And Spencer pushed buttons!
Savannah got to meet Tinkerbell and fell in love with her. She was so cute and told her about flying & about her dress being made of leaves.
She even spent time with Spencer!
We caught the fireworks again that night.
Such a sweet moment: watching fireworks above Cinderella's castle with your babies : )
This little princess slept so well each night!
We spent our final day at Magic Kingdom again.
Look closely...I told you Spencer was obsessed with the poles in the shuttles!
We started the morning with a breakfast with Mickey & friends.
The food was wonderful!
Goofy
Donald
Mickey
Minnie
Pluto
We even had time re-ride some of the favorites!
Savannah had been looking forward to meeting Alice.
Dumbo!
I love that Savannah always waved the whole time during the parades at the characters : )
Meeting Mickey : )
We stayed at the Toy Story part of our hotel.
And when Savannah got home, Princess Merida had written her a note & left a Merida dress & bow & arrows on her bed for her : )
Such an amazing trip with so many special memories! Can't wait to go again when Spencer is a bit older : )
