2 Months Old

Sweet Savannah turned 2 months old on Dec. 6th. Our little family has really figured each other out now. It's funny how babies have so many different kinds of cries & you can tell them apart. We've figured out how she likes to be held-upright, high up in the air so she feels tall & facing out so that she can see the world...she thinks she should be held up like an adult & doesn't realize she is still a baby. And I think she has gotten so much more comfortable with life outside of the womb. She rarely cries for no reason anymore (such a relief!) This means mommy gets to take her out shopping a lot more! She is also learning how to use her hands a little better. She will hold her hand up against her pacifier to keep it in some. The most fun thing about her now is her smiling & cooing. She has a beautiful smile & is so happy! Bran & I just stood outside our car after we'd put her in her car seat after church last week watching her smile & talk. I think she's almost ready to laugh! She rolls over better now than she did at 1 month-instead of rocking back & forth, she just flips over. She makes eye-contact well & will actually look around the room until she sees us. She was sleeping through the night from the get go-but we actually had a 9 hour night this month without her waking up!
