Savannah is Four!

Big personality, little girl. Oh Savannah, where do I begin? We all three adore her more than words, I will begin there : ) She makes the three of us laugh every day. Spencer laughs at her funny faces & sounds & because she is so goofy. Brandon & I laugh because she is particular-she still has many compulsive tendencies, like needing to give us each 5 kisses & 5 hugs before bed in the order of Daddy, Brother, Mommy; because she loves to sing but just can't seem to get the words right-one of our current favorites is "All those days, watching for the winter..." from Tangled; & because she is genuinely funny-"I wish my toe could sing," she told me yesterday. She is smart & creative & has an uncanny memory. It's actually a tiny bit terrifying thinking of what all she will remember later one. She remembers the most random details of things we've done over a year ago. She continues to be the best big sister that has ever existed. She is now being even more helpful with keeping her brother safe & out of trouble now that he's crawling. I continue to pray that she will always love him as much as she does right now. She is a little mommy with her younger cousins too. She is loving gymnastics & is actually very good! J.O. has always talked about how "sure-footed" she is & gymnastics proves it! She is doing backwards summersaults on the mat, summersaults on the beam, flips on the bar & working on cartwheels. She loves to sing! She sings songs from church, songs from the Disney movies she watches, songs from the radio & even songs she's made up! We love listening to her sweet voice : ) She loves to swim & was the best 3 year old swimming in Texas this summer (I'm 99% sure of this.) She can swim the length of both grandparents' pool by herself, hold her breath long enough to get rings from the bottom of the pool & is starting to learn how to dive. She loves to read & sometimes lays in bed for an hour at night looking at books & often falls asleep with a book in her hand. She loves Disney princesses, My Little Pony, Strawberry Shortcake & Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. She loves colors & is especially obsessed with rainbows. She loves games like Candyland, matching games & hopscotch. She loves to be outside whether taking a walk, playing on her playset, riding her trike, "chalking" (as she calls it) or examining bugs on the ground. She loves being on the go & having things to go do each morning, whether grocery shopping or playdates with friends. She's like her momma & gets anxious to get out of the house. She loves to play dress-up & loves to help me in the kitchen. She loves to pray & says the sweetest & longest prayers : ) She is loving YCW & is the teacher's pet again this year. Her teachers all talk about how sweet & helpful she is & how they just love listening to her sweet little voice. I am just glad she is good for her teachers : ) She is mostly great at home too, but is also very much a girl & can go from sweet little angel, to some child we don't know screaming, kicking & crying on the floor...and over the smallest things! She is incredibly stubborn & strong-willed. But we are thankful for this challenging part of her too-it definitely keeps us humble as parents! But we love every bit of her! She was 31 pounds at her 4 year doctor appointment (8%) & 39" tall (25%) Big personality, little girl!
