10 Months

Tank, Monster, Bulldozer, Haas...all words we find ourselves calling this boy these days. He may not be the speediest baby, but this man is determined & strong & won't stop until he's accomplished what he's set out to do-mostly knocking things over. He is seriously immovable. Changing his diaper has turned into quite the challenge because he won't stay on his back & he is stronger than me. He's got serious booty & thighs & takes out whatever he is crawling over/through. His perseverance is impressive. For example, if his goal is the library books in his sister's room, I can pick him up & carry him across the house to the play room 5 times in a row & he doesn't seem to get frustrated, he just starts his crawl back to her room. He loves doors & loves to sit there, swinging the door open & closed & laughing. He loves unwinding toilet paper, why not? He loves clearing everything off the coffee table. He loves playing with buttons like on the remote control (he's already broken one of my phones, water-logged it actually from drooling; and I found him holding & gnawing on the computer keyboard this week.) He loves emptying the kitchen cabinets that don't have locks. And he loves opening & closing the sliding accordion glass on our fire place.  His obsession with the vacuum continues & he also loves the blow-dryer. He continues to be a very serious admirer of mine. He follows me around the house if he wants to be held & just stands between my legs holding on to them both & crying if I'm cooking & he wants to be held. Total mama's boy. But mostly his sister can keep him happy & those two play together so well (& so rough!) His favorite is peek-a-bo & uses his blanket to play with her in the car-I love chauffeuring those two around as they laugh & talk! He's saying things that start to sound like actual words. Savannah is cute because she will get so excited & say, "He just said 'hi' to me!" or "He said 'Mama'!" He is eating most every puree of veggie & fruit that you can imagine (no berries yet) & loving it all! Starting to eat some little bits of real food with his tiny chompers. He has two on top & one on bottom that all came in around Thanksgiving. They are only partially in, but doing a good job! He's getting more hair & possibly getting that long strip down the middle that his sister had-ha! Don't worry, I will cut his before turning it in to a comb-over! He does look exactly like her at this age though. He keep pulling up baby pics & comparing the two! A few days before his 10 months b-day he got double ear-infections, poor baby : ( At the time they weighed him at 23 pounds 6 ounces. We can tell he's really slimming down now that he's so mobile. He continues to be the happiest boy & we always get compliments when out about his smile & demeanor. We love you Spencer, even if you are our little Godzilla monster : )
